Aims and Scope

The mission of the peer reviewed scientific journal "Current Issues in Philology and Pedagogical Linguistics" is to provide an opportunity for the scientific community in our country and abroad to present the results of their original research in  actively developing new areas of humanities and to draw attention to promising and relevant areas of philological science and methodology.

The aim of the journal is to provide an opportunity for the scientific community in our country and abroad to present the results of their original research in the actively developed humanitarian areas of modern science, integrating philological knowledge, to draw attention to promising and relevant areas of philological science and methodology.

The scope of the journal:

  • to promote scientific exchange and collaboration among the Russian and foreign philologists and specialists in related fields;

  • to present the results of scientific research and constructive ideas for the development of the philological sciences, as well as innovative methods of teaching them that are relevant to the Russian and to the international scientific community;

  • to acquaint readers with the latest trends and theories in the field of philological research, developed both in Russia and abroad and with their practical application;

  • to publish the results of original scientific research on a wide range of actual philological problems of an interdisciplinary nature, revealing the interaction of language, culture, consciousness and communication.

The subject of the journal

The journal "Current Issues in Philology and Pedagogical Linguistics" serves as a platform for highlighting new directions in the modern linguistics, literary criticism and methodology of Philology teaching development at the end of the XXth - beginning of the XXIst century in the aspect of a crossdisciplinary scientific paradigm that combines Russian and foreign experience of cognition. The journal publishes articles that reflect the latest scientific views, relevant results and achievements of fundamental, theoretical, applied and interdisciplinary research in Philology.

Literary studies:

modern literary criticism: postrealism, modernism, postmodernism; innovative poetics; literary hermeneutics; narratology; genre studies.

Methodology in Philology teaching:

innovative technologies for teaching foreign languages;  language and culture studies;  cultural conceptology teaching;  multilingual approaches for teaching; intercultural communication teaching.

When preparing a manuscript for submission to the editors, the authors should be guided by the following rules, drawn up taking into account the requirements of Russian and international associations and organizat ions, including the principles and rules of the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)., ORI (the Office of Research Integrity), CSE (Committee of Science Editors), EASE (European Association of Science Editors), directives from ANRI (Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers).
